Six Sigma is a methodology for business improvement. Motorola developed it in the 1980s and has since been adopted by many other businesses such as Intel, General Electric, and Microsoft. Six Sigma is most often used in manufacturing, but it can be applied to any process that involves six or more steps. The six sigma portland program has six primary goals:
